Michelle Petito, MS Behavior Therapist

 

Founder, Growing Together Therapeutic Center


Michele Petito, founder of the Growing Together Therapeutic Center, has a BA in Psychology, an MA in Special Education, and is currently completing her BCBA Certification (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) at Rutgers University.

Over the course of her career, Michelle has worked as a teacher, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapist, and behavior consultant. She has implemented programs in behavior modification, cognitive learning, and fine and gross motor skill development. She presented daily preschool lesson plans based on cognitive and language skills and conducted parent conferences to provide updates on each student’s progress.

 

As an ABA therapist and behavior consultant in early intervention programs, Michelle provided evaluations, consultation, and regular supervision of ABA programs administered to children with autism. In this role, she also provided SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) services in school-based settings for children ages three to five years old. Michelle is a trained provider for The Listening Program and has attended intensive workshops regarding the management of sensory integration dysfunction.
